What it's about

Six years after the disaster at Jurassic Park, rumors spread of strange animal carcasses washing up in Costa Rica. A wealthy paleontologist disappears on a remote island, and the mathematician Ian Malcolm, who barely survived the park, joins a small team to find him on Site B, where the dinosaurs were bred and are now living wild. A rival company is there too.

Why it's worth reading

It hit #1 on the New York Times list. It's a fast sequel full of dinosaur action and Crichton's science.
