What it's about
In 1932, Paul Edgecombe is the head guard on death row at Cold Mountain Penitentiary in Louisiana, where the walk to the electric chair is a stretch of faded green linoleum. Coffey is afraid of the dark and cries constantly, and Paul begins to see that he's capable of things no one could explain.
