What it's about

Moist von Lipwig, the reformed con man who saved the Ankh-Morpork Post Office, is bored. So Lord Vetinari puts him in charge of the city's bank and mint, where the chairman is a small dog, the chief clerk is very strange and the coins cost more to make than they're worth. Moist decides to invent paper money, while someone from his past threatens to expose him.

Why it's worth reading

It was a Nebula Award finalist. It's a funny, sharp Discworld satire about banking and what money really is.
